Tyten Jobs privacy notice

Effective 20 October 2026 · Tyten Technologies Limited, 25 Eccleston Place, London SW1W 9NF · Company number 16101444

Tyten Jobs is the Tyten mobile app for people who work on site for a facilities company that uses Tyten: engineers, cleaners, window cleaners and other operatives. This notice explains what the app collects, when, and why. It adds to our Product Privacy Policy, which covers the wider Tyten platform. Where the two differ for the app, this notice applies.

Who is responsible for your data

Your employer gives you a Tyten Jobs account and decides how your work data is used. Tyten processes that data on your employer's behalf under our agreement with them. For questions about how your employer uses it, ask your employer. For anything about Tyten, contact privacy@tyten.ai.

The app does not use advertising identifiers, does not track you across other apps or websites, and does not sell your data.

Location during working time only

  • Recording starts when you tap Travelling or Arrived on your first job of the day.
  • It stops when your last job of the day is completed or marked as no access, after 14 hours, at midnight, or when you sign out, whichever comes first.
  • Before your phone first asks for location permission, the app explains this and lets you choose Not now. Without location you can still use the app and tap Arrived yourself.
  • On iPhone, if you allow it, location is recorded during working time even when the app is not on screen. On Android it is recorded only while the app is open.
  • Location is not recorded outside working time and is never used for advertising.
  • You can turn location off at any time in your phone's Settings.

Where your data goes

Data from the app is sent over an encrypted connection to Tyten's servers and to your employer's Tyten account. Your employer, and the people they let use Tyten, can see your jobs, job sheets, photos and arrival times. Some features use the service providers listed in our Product Privacy Policy, under contracts that protect your data.

How long we keep it

  • Location points are kept on your phone for at most 24 hours and deleted when you sign out.
  • Data on our servers is kept for as long as our agreement with your employer requires, then deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to how it is used. Email privacy@tyten.ai from the address on your account, or ask your employer. We reply within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

Tyten Jobs is for people at work and is not intended for anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change this notice we will update the date at the top. Significant changes will also be shown in the app.
