Forward Deployed Engineer

TYTEN automates the back office for facilities management companies. Facilities management is the work that makes buildings usable: the lifts running, the water safe, the air clean, a hospital or a hotel simply working for the people inside it. Done well, nobody notices it at all. The industry is worth $3 trillion worldwide, and $226 billion of that goes on back-office salaries alone. That is the spend we automate.

That back office is scattered across several systems. Facilities management providers run a CAFM system, which is the scheduling and work-order platform at the centre of the business, an accounting system, and a set of shared mailboxes. We sit across all three and orchestrate the work between them, taking over the manual coordination that erodes their margin: work orders, quoting, planned maintenance, compliance, procurement, reporting, and invoicing. Twenty-five modules are live in production today.

We spent more than 600 hours shadowing technicians and helpdesk teams before writing a line of code, so the product is purpose-built for facilities management rather than a generic artificial intelligence tool retrofitted to it. We are venture backed, and we closed our most recent round in December 2025, with investment from Concrete Ventures, Fuel Ventures, Antler, and a number of excellent angel investors.

We are hiring to onboard more clients while keeping our service and solution quality high. We have served 157,000 work orders so far, and that number grows every day. We also manage more than 6,000 field-service contractors on behalf of our clients, and volume has risen 6.6 times and revenue 5.5 times since January 2026. This is the role that lets us do more of it.

If you would rather apply artificial intelligence to the physical world than to another piece of software, this is one of the few places where you can do so properly. Your work will show up as a fault diagnosed sooner, an engineer sent to the right building with the right part, and a resident who is not waiting a week for a repair.

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll be the bridge between our technology and our clients. You'll work directly with customers to understand their facilities management workflows, configure our AI platform to their needs, and ensure successful deployments from kickoff through go-live and beyond.

You enjoy working with customers and listening to them. You get energy from solving real problems for real people, not just writing code in isolation.

You thrive in ambiguity. Client needs are messy, requirements change, and you're the type who figures it out.

You want to be in the field, not stuck behind a desk. Travel, client meetings, hands-on deployments — that's your thing.

• The salary is £55,000 to £70,000 gross, together with EMI share options.

• We run team events and socials, and we are doing more of them as the team grows.
• All travel to client sites is expensed.
